Biography
Carly Dove is a Boston based soprano and voice teacher, and has been featured as a soloist in choral, jazz, and early music ensembles. She is currently a member of The Boston Cecilia in Brookline, MA, directed by Dr. George Case. She has also worked as a cantor at multiple Catholic churches in her home state of New Jersey, and Lutheran churches in Pennsylvania. Carly has recently been featured as a soloist in Brahms’ Neue Liebeslieder with the Boston Conservatory Conductor’s Choir, in Kodály’s Missa Brevis with the Boston Cecilia, and in Fauré’s Requiem with Muhlenberg College’s College Choir. Recent roles in opera scenes include La Fée in Cendrillon and Zerlina in Don Giovanni. She has also sung in the ensemble of Gilbert and Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance and Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel. Past teachers include Dr. Kerry Deal, Raya Gonen, and Christa Warda. Carly recently graduated from Boston Conservatory at Berklee with her Master’s degree in Vocal Pedagogy, and earned her BA in Music from Muhlenberg College. Carly enjoys singing classical and musical theatre repertoire and trains students in both of these styles.
